PAUL STEWART

PIANO

Paul first put his hands on a piano aged three and has been lucky enough to continue playing ever since. After studying for a BTEC in Music Practice at Canterbury College, Paul went on to complete a degree in Commercial Music at Christchurch University, Broadstairs campus. On leaving, he joined a local function band and began working for a theatre company alongside some private teaching work. Paul has been fortunate and hard working enough to continue a similar work-life ever since, maintaining a busy and eclectic schedule of musical endeavours, especially in the world of musical theatre. Paul has played for productions of 'Little Shop of Horrors', 'Oliver!', 'The Phantom of the Opera', 'Beauty and the Beast' 'Grease' and Kander and Ebb's 'The World Goes Round' as MD and as Keys 1/2 for shows including 'Hairspray', 'Rent', 'Jesus Christ Superstar', 'American Idiot' and 'Chicago'. Paul's function band work has included playing in venues from pubs and clubs to stately homes and cathedrals and he enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with his students to help encourage them to fulfil their potential and, above all, enjoy making music.
